Rod seals factory today: Mechanical seals are engineered for most pumps, mixer and agitator applications in maintenance. In many cases the designs have been proven to be workhorses over years of use. In others seals must be designed for evolving industrial demands. The basic rotating face mechanical seal design is adaptable to serve a wide range of sealing applications including compressors. Standard mechanical seals can suit most requirements to temperatures of 500 degrees F and shaft speeds to 3600 RPM. The selection of secondary seal type often determines the temperature and chemical capabilities of the seal. The combination of materials used in the rotating and stationary faces define the abrasive resistance, and chemical resistance. Seal face combinations will also determine the amount of energy consumed by the pump, mixer, agitator or compressor. Seal faces can be balanced to permit higher pressure sealing. Balanced seals can seal pressures above 200 psi, or used in a multiple stages for higher pressures or especially severe fluid services. Special mechanical seals can be furnished to meet the most demanding of industrial applications considering pressure, temperature, speed or fluid. Read extra details on spring seals.
A basic mechanical seal contains three sealing points. The stationary part of the seal is fitted to the pump housing with a static seal –this may be sealed with an o-ring or gasket clamped between the stationary part and the pump housing. Rotating and Stationary parts of a Seal – The rotary portion of the seal is sealed onto the shaft usually with an O ring. This sealing point can also be regarded as static as this part of the seal rotates with the shaft. The mechanical seal itself is the interface between the static and rotary portions of the seal. One part of the seal, either to static or rotary portion, is always resiliently mounted and spring loaded to accommodate any small shaft deflections, shaft movement due to bearing tolerances and out-of-perpendicular alignment due to manufacturing tolerances.
The gasket made by DMS SEALS is uniquely mechanical and thermally stable and it has excellent oxidation resistance. Compared with other thermoplastics, it can be applied to components such as valves and bushings, with higher wear resistance, higher mechanical properties and thermal fatigue resistance. At the same time, it has excellent oil resistance (alkane oil), heat resistance, water resistance, aging resistance, air tightness and excellent adhesion. It is commonly used in media such as water, oil, and natural gas.
Scraper seals are also known as wiper seals. The scraper sealof DMS SEALS can effectively prevent various forms of contamination that cause a hydraulic system failure. It can be mounted on the outside of the piston rod seal of the hydraulic cylinder to protect the hydraulic cylinder from dirt, dust and moisture. It can well protect the hydraulic cylinder from environmental pollution and effectively prevent damage to the hydraulic cylinder parts, causing the system to malfunction. DMS offers a wide range of wiper seals for different hydraulic systems with different characteristics, specifications and combinations.
Influence of flange form: Different flange forms require different gaskets. Smooth-faced flanges are generally only used for low pressure, with soft thin gaskets; under high pressure, if the strength of the flange is sufficient, smooth-faced flanges can also be used, but thick soft gaskets should be used, or inner belt reinforcement should be used. Wound gasket for ring or reinforcement ring. In this case, metal gaskets are also not suitable, because the required pressing force is too large, resulting in large deformation of the bolts, making the flange difficult to seal. If a metal gasket is to be used, the smooth surface should be reduced to reduce the contact area with the gasket. In this way, under the condition of the same bolt tension, the compressive stress of the reduced narrow smooth surface will increase.
Supplied in rolls or open loops. The open ring can be directly installed and used, but it must be cut when the roll is used, and the cutting length must be calculated in advance: there can only be one opening, the opening form is an oblique 45° opening, and the opening distance is about 3-15mm, or the diameter of the guide ring 3-5% of . Under normal circumstances, the openings are oblique openings. Straight openings or zigzag openings are rare and have specific uses and purposes. There are two purposes for the opening. The first is to facilitate installation. If it is not opened, it is an integral ring, which is difficult to install or impossible to install, so it must be opened. Secondly, the opening and a certain opening distance are reserved to facilitate the automatic coordination of volume changes. Otherwise, the movement may be stuck or the moving parts may be pulled due to the excessive expansion of the guide belt under certain conditions. Coiled ones are relatively cheap, and the same coil can be used to make guide rings of different sizes. Read more details on https://www.dmsseals.com/.
DMS Seals is a professional mechanical seals manufacturer and oil seal supplier for hydraulic seals, O-Rings, spring energized seals, oil seals, mechanical seal and so on. Hydraulic seals including step seals, glyd rings, guide strips, wiper seals, rod seals, piston seals, rotary seals, wear rings. We can provide the hydraulic seals with bronze filled PTFE, carbon filled PTFE, graphite filled PTFE, MoS2 filled PTFE, glass filled PTFE, virgin PTFE. About O-Rings, we can supply NBR, FKM, silicone, EPDM, HNBR, ACM, FFKM material.
Construction machinery sealing system requirements: High and low temperature resistance Because of continuous work for a long time, if it is outdoors in summer, the hydraulic oil temperature of the machine may exceed 100°C, which requires the seal to be resistant to high temperature. If it is outdoors in winter, the temperature may be around -40°C when it is just turned on, and the seals are required to be resistant to low temperatures. Therefore, the sealing system is required to withstand a wide temperature range. The machine itself walks. Due to the limitation of volume and weight, the hydraulic oil tank is generally relatively small.
The spring seal produced by DMS SEALS is perfect for being applied to extremely high-speed, very low-speed equipment with micro piston strokes and other special operating conditions. It can be used with rotary seals and maintains good sealing performance in violent shake and vibration motion environments. At the same time, our seals are extremely adaptable to a wide range of working media. It is resistant to a wide range of chemicals except for soluble alkali metals, high-temperature fluorine and chlorine trifluoride. Therefore, it works well with liquids such as oils and water with high and low temperature.
